S2000 Noise On Takeoff and Revers From DIFF?
im not sure if the noise is comming from the diff but it seems to be coming from the rear. When im in my garage and i back it out it sounds like something is binding and it makes a clicking noise AS i let off the clutch. It does it whenever i come from a stop.
ALSO when im in fourth WOMPING it on the freeway at about 115 or 120 or so the stick starts to Shake pretty bad. not shake but more like WOBBLE really fast side to side. as if the tranny was just occilating like crazy. someone said it is probably just because the freeway and the speed but the freeway seemed perfectly smooth. it has happened on multiple occasions
Thanks for the Help. im a new S2k owner. just got it 2 weeks ago>.. (2 speeding tickets already

Year of the car? Sounds like your axle nuts need to get re-torqued. 220lb feet. Take off the rear wheels, take off center cap, put wheels back on and car back on the ground, then re-torque.
Good luck on the speeding tickets.
Good luck on the speeding tickets.
My 04 makes what seems to be the same clunk occasionally when i am at a stop and put the car into gear. Sounds like it is coming from the diff but I'm not sure.
my shift **** shakes like crazy at any speed and i have gotten stopped twice also. the cop let me off both times and i was doing 90 and 86. i hope my luck continues. knock on wood.
IMHO, Your diff is about to fail
The ring and pinion is about to shatter in your diff case and you do not want shards of metal to be bouncing around in the diff housing. I had the same problem with my AP1
When coming to a stop, or taking off, it clicks, and makes weird chattering noises ever so lightly until you get on a higher speed and it tends to go away.
The ring and pinion (gearing) is not catching correctly. Lets hope this isn't it, because it is an expensive job to do.
I did this to the point where I drove it soo hard on upon any acceleration it "rumbles" my diff blew
