from my understanding, Spoon only made a few.. like 2 or 3 of the S2000 clusters. even in their race car they use a Stack cluster.

But why would you do that. The s2000 gauges are like a one of a kind thing..cant really find gauges like that on a car stock.

I have to be honest - I always dug the needle gauges. But regardless, I wouldnt mess with something so fine.

The stack cluster is sweet. If I had an all-out race car, that would definitely be my choice

It would be alright for a DD too, I guess the only part about that I don't like is the no check engine light. Not that I am worried about it coming on, if something were to go wrong I would like to know that.

Of course, I'm sure you could always wire one separately.

stack shows all readings, water temp, oil temp, oil pressure, etc... no need for huge guages

There's more to it than losing a check engine light, you'll lose the powersteering (since the stock cluster is incorporated into the steering system), lose the interior dome light when you open the doors, lose the key beep when the driver door is open with key in ignition, car will autolock on it's own after unlocking it via the remote transmiter, lose turn signal indicators, lose door ajar indicatior, lose highbeam indicator, lose all other indicator lights. And setting up the speedo on the stack is a bitch, but who needs a speedo on the track? The coolest feature of the stack is the memory that saves the highest values such as oil temp etc etc.

The way around all the stuff you lose from above is to relocate the stock cluster via a custom wiring harness to retain all those features. FYI, a friend that changed his mind on putting in the second stack cluster in the states is selling it complete with all sensors and the custom wire harness to relocate the stock cluster...everything brand new.

everyone always wants what they don't already have... even if what they have is better, so long as it's different.

Being unique is tight and all but I'll just fall back into line for now.
