Default S2000 DROP

I have 18" rims. I want to lower my car.
What drop should I go w/ to give the most tuck w/o scrubing, w/o having to replace struts or having bounce?
Front: 225/40/18
Rear: 255/35/18

Just so I don't get flamed for having 18s, they are VOLK GTNs.

Try a 1'inch drop with some Ground Control coilovers for the S2000....

or some Comptech springs...

or some KGMM springs....

or some Nuespeed springs...

or some Teins coilovers....

get the picture?

Get shocks with a greatly decreased droop travel and you won't have problems with the car being overly bouncing. Also run lots of camber to keep the top of the tire from hitting the fender.

Don't worry about getting flamed. It's your car, and as long as you like it, that's all that matters.

Besides, 18s are 18s, it does not matter if they're made by Niche or Volk. Oversized wheels will kill performance regardless of brand or weight.

Just remeber that depending on your rims and your tires and what you like to run as your aligment might have rubbing problems. That being said also remeber that if you drop the car more then 1 inch you will have preoblems getting the car back into the stock suspension settings.

Please elaborate on this. Do you mean getting the car back to stock suspension settings once its lowered, or do you mean if I decided to put the stock suspension back on the car it would provide me with problems.
Also, what kind of problems do you for see?

I have a set of GF210's with 18" OZ no rub about 1.5" drop. Ride is much different from factory due to no linear springs. Oem comes with linear springs and most aftermarket springs are progressive. Hope that helps. Like I said no rubbing.

If you are interested. I carry both the Tanabe NF and the GF. 1.5 inch drop and similar spring rate to the factory. Give me a call.

what kind of camber kit did you go with?
I have been looking for one, however, I don't know of any companies making them for the s2000.

Also, is your car bouncy with the lowering spring and stock shocks? How does it handle compared to stock, please be honest.
