S2000 Day
Im FINALLY picking up my S today !!! Ive dreamed of owning this car since '00. Its an '02 Sebring, 17k miles, bone stock, oem lip, really clean (almost looks new) for $21,500. Do you guys think thats a good deal? And any driving tips I should know right off the bat
Cold tires = Be careful...lol. The rear end tends to get a little squirrely when the tires havent warmed up especially on cold pavement. (really any rwd car)...if this is your first FR car, just dont push it too hard at first, get a feel for it because though this car lacks the torque that usually gets people in trouble with other FR platform cars, its just as likely to do the same thing if your not careful.
Price seems decent...i think you'll be thankful you held out for a 2002 witht he rear glass.
Dont do burn outs...lol, many reasons for that, but its best just not doing it. (though sometimes you cant help it...lol)

1. no driving hard till you got 3 bars on the temp guage.... the car has a dual rev limiter.... so it won't go into vtec unless it's warmed up...
2. if you still have so2's on there... be careful in cold temperatures... they are technically "summer only tires"
3. check your oil after hard runs.
4. be careful in the rain
5. don't be an idiot and keep your eyes on the road hahahaha...
on the highway people usually don't notice you.....

It's not the rear diff (as oppose to the fornt diff) that you have to worry about, it's the diff casing.
The Bridgestone S02's are a factory special, so when you replace them, either replace them with the Honda facotry variants or with those appropriately sized (the factory variant sizing is different than what the norm sizing is).
The Bridgestone SO2's are just that, Summer Only tires....and it's not the rain that the tires don't mix well with, it's the temperature and tread depth.

Im not sure what you mean by factory variant sizing. I plan on getting some spoon sw388's -''16, what would I need to get?

The factory SO2's are sized at front width of 205 and the rears are sized at 225.
The actual contact patch of those tires matches more closely to 215 in the front and 245 in the rear. So if you buy any other tire other than the factory S02, and want to keep similar contact patch, get 215 and 245 widths.

dont try to turn and drive it like a FF. the first time i drove a FR...it wasnt the best day. i was pretty close to crashing. REALLY easy to spinout. please drive it slow. get used to it then do whatever u want with it.
i did that **** too.. i ran over a little tiny patch of water before turning a corner and the rear end wasn't having it.... i held it but i don't suggest trying to be mario andretti at all.. maybe just a tad bit when it's dry
