Re: s2000 dash help
i've heard you do not need to drop the column, removing the wheel will be necessary though. i will be tackling this project soon too. good luck!

Re: s2000 dash help
I would start by droping the column (4 bolts) and even take it out to give you some room! another bolt on the steering joint and just unplug the connectors.
next; cluster, pass air bag, radio cover...

dropping the steering column is not a bad idea, but you might be able to do the swap w/o dropping it. The wheel would have to be removed thought for sure. Dropping the column is easier then removing the wheel. You have to drop the column just to change the cluster...

Re: s2000 dash help
I have pulled the dash out of my s2000 3 times now, and it is not necessary to pull the steering column, or even touch it.
Just pull the wheel, gauges, radio, a pillars, and air bags. Then disconnect all the harness on both sides of the fender/footwells. Then just lift the dash out. Takes me about 3 hours to do it, and about 2.5 to put it back in.
