Problem

I was driving and my SRS light has came on...how do i turn it off and how do i find out why it is on

First thing I would check is the fuse.

i just got the car not to long ago from a private person..and dont know anything about the car at all..is that fuse under the dash or the hood

there's a laundry list of things to check that would cause the light to go on and a blown fuse is least likely to be one of the problems. Have the problem diagnosed by your dealer.
