My best friend has a turbo charged mazda miata that runs a 12.98 ....anyways lowered his psi to 8psi and ran a 13.6 with it. We raced last night and were neck and neck all the way to 5 gear, thats when we slowed down. My question is...I have 03 s2k with aem v2 intake and hks exhaust...is it possible for me to run a 13.6 with only that stuff? cuz i kept up with him and he runs 13.6 with 8psi? Can my car run that then?

 

99% you can't run that time. Thats the record for a stock s2k and driven by an extraordinary driver. With sticky tires, yes. Also depends on climate, elevation, blah blah blah.

that may be what you run, but i wouldn't say from my years of seeing slips, that its the average.

i'd say average is 14.2-14.5 with a decent driver.

Sorry still win with the turbo h22 hatch going 13.2. Bent/welded/built mani myself as well as bent/welded exhaust myself. Oh snap on steelies too and zero monthly payments on the hatch and $120/month ins. full-coverage on BOTH cars.

I know how it feels to surprise people with a sleeper trust me. But don't come on a section for s2000 owners, say they're slow and you'll smoke em, and then expect to walk away from that without retaliation.
