Hello S2k people..I used to own AP1 03' gpw s2000 but i sold it 2 years ago..
and I'm planning to come back to s2k after i sell my ITR.

I'm lookin at 04' AP2 used because it's the most i can
afford after selling my R for $19000
and i know 04' is the first year of AP2.
so i want to know if there's anything i have to watch out for when im buyin an AP2.

was there any recall or any problems you guys found out afterwards?

only problem i have is ap1 owners getting pissed because my ap2 constantly whoops the **** out of them.....


it sucks when they have the same car but are stuck with the cheaper version

Turbo ap1 &gt; ap2

 

Good choice stepping up to the AP2. The only complaint I hear of a lot is that the rear bumper doesn't fit as well around the taillight area. Mechanically, Honda did a beautiful job of improving on an already solid chassis.

And of course, the bitching and moaning of AP1 owners.

I want ap2 over ap1 because I really like stock rims/bumpers/lights everything overall
and im planning to drive it stock ..maybe a bit lowered.
dont wanna spend too much money anymore on tuning

its understandable to want the nicer looking and faster one... you gonna get coils or are you going to lower it on springs?

 

I'll tell you what you should do:

Swift springs. Spoon intake duct. 66-70mm bore on the throttle body. Whatever exhaust you like. Then drive the snot out of it.

 

alot of rumors about the 04 S having tranny problems..but i have an 04 myself n can say it did scatch 2nd n 3rd and also had that cold shift feeling..but thats why you GM SYNCROMESH friction modified ..solved all my problems haha-AP2 FTW!

 

The new Honda MTF also has a Friction Modifier as well.

probably full coilover.. but not sure what brand yet..
