I know this is a dumb question but how do find out what production number you have. I just bought my car a week ago a 2001 black on black s2000..thank you

 

Look at the VIN. Usually the last 6 or 7 digits are the serial number for that year, but for an S2000 they probably won't use more than 4 or 5 digits. For example, my NSX is JH4NA1151MT002040. So it's the 2040th car made in 1991.

At least that's my understanding. I could be completely wrong.

i have ITR 667-00, i was wondering if you got the turbo for the R???what didn't you like about the SC??? i wanna go boost, but would like to know about your personal experiences w/ boost in your R.

Well i was scamed for the turbo i bought from matrix motors for 3550.00 im in the process in taking this to a small court, right now im gathering my statements for the charges. As for the sc I didnt like it at all, to much work. Im going all motor or nos on my R, and planing to turbo my s2k whenever i get the money.

hows the s2000 compared to your R, i was thinkin of gettin a 01 s2000 and im not sure if i should , cant keep both though like you, is it worth it and is insurance really cheaper on the s2000 or is my ins. comp gonna quote me one price then f me a few months later like my R

 

Put it this way, i can't stop driving the thing, i had it for only 2 weeks and i already have 2000 miles, as for insurance, im on my parent's policy so i pay 215.00 a month for the s2k and 650.00 every 6 months for the R,not too bad. GET THE S2k!

 

I have both - and I feel your pain Black, I've got over 7000 since Marchm and almost 25K on the ITR.

DAMN, thats alot of miles. I bought mine in march to, and I have 4000 miles. My R has 30k and had it since last March.
