maintenance req'd light
i just got my maintenance required light on my 00 s2k. is there a button underneath the dash to turn this off or do i have to take it in to the dealer. i know my integra had a button for this. just curious if the s2000 has one. i searched and couldn't find it. thanks -goody
put key in
hold down trip button
turn key to on but do not start car
continue holding the trip button
after 20ish seconds, the maintenance light shuts off

thanks, will try that tomorrow. and i will be making an appointment at the dealer also, since it is still under warranty. thanks again.
how many miles do you have on your S? dealer usually costs too much for maintenance. you live in doylestown, i'm in montgomeryville which is just a town over. Depending on where in doylestown, i could be 10 mins or 30 mins away. If you need help, just pm me

I'm a new s2k owner and might get flamed for asking but where is the trip button?

The maintenance light comes on every 7.5K miles? Wow. But that makes me feel better about the light coming on before putting it away for the winter (first year having it).
Are there any inexpensive computer units to read the S2K? I've seen a few for other types of cars that can be purchased for ~ $30 but is specific to a car model.

The "Maintenance Required" light is a reminder to perform routine maintenance. It is based on mileage and not any sensors in the car. The "Check Engine Light" is for problems where you would need the scanner or mechanic.
