Maint Required Light
Maintanence Required light will come on in usally 7,500k intervals, first blinking at your for about 5 seconds when you first start the car to evenatlly staying on till you do maintanence and the code is cleared. For 22,500k mile maintanence is as follows. Replace oil and filter, Inspect front and rear brakes, Check tire inflation and condition, Inspect Tie rods, steering box, and boots, Inspect suspension componets, inspect driveshaft boots. To reset the light, turn the key to the lock position holding down the trip button and start the car, hold the trip button till the light dissappears. For what is done during maintanence check here http://forums.s2ki.com/forums/...53537
To reset it, start the car with the trip reset button already pressed and continue to hold it down for about 10 seconds until the maint req light turns off.
i've heard that........the maint. requirement joke was always a whole lot of nothing; that its just a way for the dealership to keep getting you to spend money at their shops. I don't know if i believe thats true though.
IDK about S2K's, but in my teg, the maint light would come on after like 5k miles. its really a way for you to bring your car into the dealership so they can check stuff and take your money. on my teg, there was a little green/blue button(cant remember) that you hold down and it goes away. basically its like an alarm clock to remind you to check over your car. hope that helped. oh btw, try looking underneath your steering wheel. thats where mine was.

Do you really want to know? I work at a Honda dealership. They would basically take a lot of you money. If I can remember correctly you will be due or they will try to sell you a "major service". It will cost you about $350.00. And it is kind of a good thing to do but a lot of money. They balance your tires clean and adjust your brakes, tight suspension, oil change, replace spark plugs if needed and that might be at 100,000 miles, road test for handling, dump and refill fluids, such like that. If there was anything wrong with your car they would let you know then. It is a good investment I guess but I don't want to pay it. Then they get you for the differential services and such. So, always ask if they have any coupons. They will rape you for all it is worth.
