http://www.gauge-tech.com/
much better than the defi unit, even does MPG which i've been wanting to get for the longest time.

the defi looks better than that

plus i don't think track rules would allow me to have that mounted to the windshield while running

that install looks easy. i could have an audio shop laser cut the guage inserts for the door. i just need to know what brand/type of guages they are cause the radio door is fully functional as is the radio itself

sure it doesn't look as pretty. but it sure as hell does more functions than the defi. you can display so many things w/ that, plus...it does MPG calculations

i think you might be intrested in a gauge setup from http://dakotadigital.com/

take a look and call...

if people are recommending the 4k gauges/dashes i think he would just opt. for the stack. the combo gauges at dakota digital go for about 5-6oo for custom setups.

http://www.dakotadigital.com/c...9.jpg

or
http://www.dakotadigital.com/c...4.jpg i know you can pick what you want in there. the circles are 4inch and i know they dont need to be silver of brushed.

There is a company called AIM that makes exactly what you are looking for, for around a grand. Very trick looking piece. Searching for pictures....

Pics can be found here <http://www.aimsports.com/products/mx...index.html>

Prices are $999 for the base model, but it comes with all the things that we would ever need.

Its on their website just look around a bit...actually I think that they list the different ecu manufacturers that it would work with.

8 analog inputs
ex. oil + fuel pressure
water+ oil temp
egt+ boost
vac + .....
only thing i see wrong w/ this is that it doesnt come w/ sensors
400 more and you got a stack
the data logger in not with it either

as for ecu's
Pectel - T2
DTA - P8
MBE - 967
MBE - 970
Autronic - SM2_V190/1
Autronic - SM2_V191
Autronic - SM2_V193/195
Racetech - ENGMAN_18
Carmo - AFI_2003
MoTec - M4
MoTec - M48
...and more!

is it DB9 or DB25??
and it is a common serial connector
*** for standalones.

RICKS Unit:
Looks like he is uysing Either Cyberdyne or Summit Racing Digital units. Both are about 1 1/4 inch deep. Judging by the pictures there is only 1/2 sticking ou so the rest hides nicely behind the back of the door.

how come the oil pressure only goes between 0-100 and 0-150psi? is that normal? i am not sure what our cars read at idle, under track abuse, etc...

i think i will be buying these guages and doing the work myself. 1200 is a rip when all the parts cost 300-400 at most

0-100 or 0-150 doesnt matter really on a digi gauge(you wont see over 100). normal oil pressure is 20-70psi. As for the price... clean "custom" plate they he/she made out of "careful" research and product developing. This sort of developing and careful hand crafting must be worth atleast 400.oo . BTW that oil pressure gauge is very cheap (as in not-costly)...WOW! is that w/ a sender? anyone take note?
