K-Pro for the S2000
http://hondata.com/s2000kpro.html
"This is a specially adapted ECU which allows the 2000-2005 S2000 to run from a RSX ECU. The engine crank and cam sensors must be changed to equivalent 2006-2007 parts - see below."
hope this isnt old news. out in May.

seems pretty cool, but it is on the expensive side...
cant see the benefit over aem ems....
esp. w/ this statement...
OBDII Scan tools. OBDII scan tools work normally. Smog station scan tools may be confused. Note that the S2000 KPro is not smog legal, and for off road use only.
which ems is not either...
now, if it was smog legal and passed obd inspections, that would be another story....

Easier to tune, more reliable, a/c, water temp sensor.
For the price of the Kpro it equals the Aem plus the modifry parts to make it work right.
All Kpro users swear by it now. Ive seen Hondata's reflash's. All there products are great. Id rather buy something made for Honda's specific.
The only thing questionable is that its running off the secondary oxygen sensor so it may not datalog accuratley.

you get what you pay for. only thing I wish was that is was actually an s2000 ecu and not a modified rsx unit.

I agree, I don't see why they don't just modify the stock units. It would be much easier to install and everyone would buy them over AEM because K-PRO pretty much is the best EMS for Hondas around.

isnt this going to keep the car OBD2?
smog is only important in Cali
in all other states that have obd2 testing, will this pass?

you will not pass with aem ems in california for some reason, there's couple guys with them and failed at the station(not emission wise but equipement/visual)

Nope....still should be F-Pro.
K-Pro is a Hondata ECU that manages the K20/K24 motors that are found in EP3s, TSXs, RSXs, Accords, CRV's, etc.
A Hondata ECU that manages an F20/F24 should be named the F-Pro.
However, if the K-Pro was named due to the K-motor ecu being modified, then maybe this is appropriately named the S2000 K-Pro, seeing that the ECU being used is the K-motor ecu.

arn't the extra parts varies sensors from the rsx that need to be installed into the s2000 so that it will work properly?

Yes.
We'll see how the testing goes once it hits the streets. The major drawback to the aem for some is it's overkill for someone that wants air fuel/timing tuning done. There is the e-manage ultimate for that also. /ramble

why? AEM has the wideband, its supposed to be one of the best and most user friendly systems on the market, plus its proven.
now Hondata is also proven, but not on the s2000.
guess will have to see what lies ahead.
