As the title states, I just hit 150k in my 2000 s2000, i have no problems what so ever with the car, it has a slight tick so im going to get the valves adjusted and maybe replace the TCT just for ***** and giggles,.
im going to replacing the following fluids.
tranny,
diff,
oil change...duhh
brake fluid
clutch fluid
new plugs
radi fluid. may put a alloy radi and some samco hoses on it. why not right.
all honda fluids and syncro mesh.
and it lets out a slight squeel eery now and then on a cold start so im going to put a new serpentine belt and tensioner on it
thats all i can think of off the top of my head.
What else you guys recommend.

GM synchromesh works SO much better, though. The shifting is non-notchy for a longer period of time. MTF lasts about 5k or 10k before it's notchy again. You should be replacing trans fluid every like 30k miles with normal driving, though, IIRC.
i dont put synchromesh in my car because honda doesnt call for it...and im sure noone in this forum has better credentials than honda engineers as far as what they know is recommended for the car...and i changed my tranny fluid about 2 1/2 years ago and have 15k miles on it since and i used honda MTF and my tranny shifts perfect

yeah i had looked into that. but honestly i checked um out with a boroscope and they all seemed fine.. how ever. if i decide to do the headgasket ill be sending the head off and getting it milled, springs and retainers put in.. aftermarket of course.
and astroglide doesnt work in the cold weather. binds up too much needs more heat lol.
and its only 13k miles a year gosh

So if there's a fluid that makes the transmission perform better, why not use it? Synchromesh has similar viscosity and properties compared to MTF. It really does make the trans shift better. I used to be a huge proponent of only using MTF. Synchromesh made my AP1 trans SO much smoother, and made my ITR's trans stop grinding 3rd gear and silenced a bearing noise. I just installed an mint 24k mile AP2 trans on my car and used MTF...it feels notchy and kinda crappy compared to how my 50k mile AP1 trans felt with synchromesh.
Think of it as using a higher boiling temp brake fluid or a synthetic oil to improve the car.

yeah honestly ill probly put the syncro mesh in there.
ive got a gsr in a civic that i dd. that im trying to sell so i did the trans on that and added sm. and it made it feel like a dream.
its def down the personal opinion. i like it tho.
and im glad u mentioned the diff fluid that was my next question.

LE-1605 is the new part#. Other people run the Amsoil 75w-90, Motul 90PA, etc. Personally I found most people recommend the LE products, then the Motul and then the others (Amsoil, Redline, Royal Purple, etc).
