JDM S2000 Engine
I think that the ap2 in japan got the 2.0 liter instead of the 2.2 liter that was offered here in the states. Other than that I don't think that there are any differences power or tranny wise between the japanese and u.s. motors.

i think its 2 more bhp, not 10. this is due to japan having higher octane gas everywhere

damn higher octane...
can't you buy race gas in Japan on the street pumps?

yes
yes
Yup...as someone said before too, the JDM AP2 still has a 2.0, where as the usdm got the newer 2.2, transmissions are obviously different between those 2 engines, but i believe that they are the same spec as the AP1 2.0 and the AP2 2.0.

You seem to be correct. This is what I get from the Honda.co.jp
" Engine Engine type F20C
Valve gear DOHC chain & gear drive
Inhalation 2 exhaust 2
Entire aerodynamic volume displacement (cm3) 1,997
Inside diameter x distance (mm) 87.0×84.0
Compression ratio 11.7
Fuel feeder type Electrically controlled gasoline injection system
(HONDA PGM-FI)
Use fuel type Unleaded premium gasoline
Fuel tank capacity (L) 50
Lubricating system Force system
Efficiency The highest output

Is PS same as HP?? Meaning it has 250hp??

250 Ps would be something like 246-247 Hp... I do not know the exact convertion.

really? so what octanes are they able to get there? For some reason I was always under the impression that high octane wasn't as available as it is here in the states.

silly indeed
silly indeed
Not really that silly...look at the FLOCK of people that go for Bseries motors and stuff from japan, now imagine the reverse, if they release a motor in the U.S. thats different (and bigger) than the one in japan, maybe they can get some reverse flow of swap demand, with the amount of horrid drivers here, japan should have a buffet full of 2.2's waiting to ship...i mean i doubt that was the reason it was done, but it makes since in this aspect as well as whatever engineering purpose there was for it.
