info on s2
my friend is trading in his mercedez ml55 amg for an s2000 for him and a civic si for his sister. He asks me a bunch of stuff bout these things but im not sure like he asks me about turbo and what all things he should get done to it. He is getting a white one with ground effects, diff rims, and spoiler its a 2005. what all would you reccomend he do? i said inktake, exhaust, header. tell me what all he can do without having to rebuild the motor, he is not doing short shifter cuz that voids the warranty.

ill tell him bout this site because you guys do help people out a lot its just he knows very little bout cars hes a rich boy his dad owns a publishing company called phoenix color. So basically he gets ppl like me to work on his cars. Hes just tired of people being like nice car man where do u work? well he doesnt and he wants something a little lower class. But i told him with an s2 people are still gonna question you. But anyways i thought i would help him out so he didnt look sooo dumb becuase he knows slim to nothing bout cars you would think that he is 2 yrs old lol But ill tell him to get on here. and Thurs hes probably gettin it. I get to drive it! YES! lol i have to teach him how to drive a 5 spd and cherp n **** omg its gonna be sooo awesome.

Im beginning to think your automotive knowledge is kinda limited too...but thats just me.

You dont have much knowledge on the S2000 either do ya? And is he getting aftermarket rims for it? Stock they only came with one style. A suggestion...tell him to get the car first, drive it and see if he really wants to modify it at all...from the description of him, and the fact that he has you working on his cars, im guessing he might just want to leave it stock. No offense.

im not much on parts for cars like knowledge on it. i basically know how to work on cars ( replace **** ) and like how to make it faster like basic ****. And i know short shifter will void the warranty my friend put one in ate up the tranny and it voided it. but the wheels are diff on em. ill take a pic of the rims, i seen 2 s2000 and one has the rims in the info book and the other one that he is getting has diff wheels i duno.

If its a 2005, and it has different rims...they are aftermarket, because it only came with one choice of rim, same as the 2004.
I dont think you graspe the reason why the short shifter comment is humorous. Perhaps you should drive an S2000 before you comment further on that...lol.
And as far as your knowledge on how to "make it faster (basic ****)" as you put it...i'd highly recommend leaving your friends S2000 alone. No offense, this aint a civic.

don't know if that comment is even worth acknowledging but I don't believe I've ever heard of the S referred to as low class or lower class...think your buddy should buy something else...leave us to drive the S2Ks

Another kind of humorous aspect of this is the fact that the ML55 is an SUV, so to compare it to a sports car, then consider the sports car "lower class"...well, lol, i'll let you guys come to your own conclusions.

his dad bought him a 12 gauge pump and when asked what kind of gun it was...the kid replied "it's one of those click click kind"

...u wouldnt wanna put a short shifter in the S2k anyways cuz it already has one...so u dont have to worry bout gettin one unless u feel like putting it on display
