ignoring trolls

I've seen some people on here that just like to start sh*t and have responded to them. So I say that we stop responding to these trolls (myself included) when they bash on the S2K. All our response does is prolong the trolling. If we just don't respond and let them go about their way then they will leave sooner (hopefully). Just my .02.
BTW I know I'm guilty of bashing a troll, but I've learned it does no good...might as well let them go. We all know the S2K and other honda's are great cars...no need to fight someone that is just trying to get under our skin.

Alot of them are haters, but one guy has some valid points. The s2000 may be better on a road course then drag strip, but even on the road course, other similiar priced cars can take it that some s2k members think they can beat. Being an owner of the car, its fun, its not the best bang for the buck in any specific catagory except getting looks, maybe thats just the spa yellow.
i'm not a hater, i never talked ****. all i said was... and oyu can go back and look
all i said was you could've goten a SVT mustang for that much!
thats it. simple observation. then the rice boys started to say how shitty the svt was and how poorly it handles. which is completely false.
don't you think honda could've put a roots type blower on the s2k and make it fast as ****. then it would hang or beat lots of cars. but its just too gutless in stock form to compete. you have 6k of unusable rpms. that is not good for most race tracks.

random, sure honda could slap on a supercharger but thats teh easy way out. sure you'll make more hp but you'll get no respect. its the same thing with honda INTENTIONALLY not going with a v8. the biggest motor has offers in a production car is the 3.5 liter found in the odyssey and the rl. think about it, if honda can squeeze out 290 n/a from a 3.2 v6(nsx), imagine what they could do with a 4.0 liter v8, etc...

um ok
the reason they don't go with a DOHC v8 that revs to 8.5k is that it would get HORRIBLE gas mileage. the cars they put the 290hp vtec v6 into decent gas mileage. where as a 405hp OHV v8 can get 29 highway... comon. with a v8 you don't need to spin so high. thats the point. torque. a v8 that spins really high is a racing motor... all peak horsepower. torque = easy to drive and cruise around. all revs and peak hp = race car, no fun to drive/cruise around
bottom line 6k unusable RPMS in a s2k

I agree. I'm actually guilty of spending time reading threads where a troll comes and stirs **** up. Don't waste your time, there's no use arguing with morons, especially people like this random-strike guy who doesn't know what he's talking about.
random-strike - Stop all the blabbering (bench racing) and bring your '03 Cobra to any Speedventures event. There will plenty of S2000s there to give you an *** whooping. http://www.speedventures.net

Yeah, I knew I'd sucker him into this thread. He's a troll and he knows it.
We all own s2000's so we really can't know too much about the car. It takes someone who's never driven the car to tell us how it handles and how fast it is. I'm so glad we have outside "experts" to tell us how our car performs.
Doh!! I forgot, no troll bashing!

Random, 14 flat for a 2800lbs NA 4cyl aint exactly slow, everything is relative. but you do make good points about comprable domestics, and i did somewhat have your back, as seen im my intial post. People get very defensive of the s2000, and hell, no one likes hearing about the downsides of thier car. I think people come out with the wrong arguements for the S. How about how good it looks? Or the fact that 120hp/litre na is not exactly commonplace. And for the record, "6k of unusable RPMs", i have no problem passing above 3500 unless im trying to cutoff a vehicle going 70 and im doing 20. I was very upset with my s2000 (tried to get a c5) until i drove around with my friend in his z06 and relized he gets half the looks i do, and all the people looking at his car had dicks.
I agree with the first post.
I also think every car has it's niche.
I would take a Cobra (preferably a Cobra R) any day over almost any Honda to drive on the track, but for daily driving I'd rather have the S2000. I also think that the S2000 would be better if I wanted a car that does both. I love Honda, but there's something left to be desired as far as torque goes.

you still haven't got the point...your on a Honda site. We'd probably all be more open to your domestic comments if we were on a domestic board. You come on here saying "oh I'm not insulting the S2000 it's just a gutless wonder". Just chill with that kind of bs and people will receive you better. If you want to talk about how fast the SVT is...go to a Mustang board...if you wnat to talk about how fast the Z06 is go to a Corvette board. If you want to learn about some of the great features of the S...stay here. And no we don't act like it is the fastest thing on the planet...but bang for the buck driving fun...it has a ton of that. I would get smoked by a Z06 or SVT but you know what? I'm going to have just as much fun as them and with the top down, which is what I prefer. If you can't understand that then you are probably of either low intelligence or low maturity (I'm not calling you either one btw).
