Do you get similar gains from an I/H/E on an F20 as you do on a B series motor with the same mods?

 

if you get a quality product, then yes. for example the toda header gives good gains for S/C or N/A applicaions, but a header from mugen probably will give you 1 hp. you just need to make sure you buy the right products.

another example:
hks hipower exhaust = almost no gain, some reported they lost power
amuse dual/single r1 = up to 8 whp gain

 

I kinda figured with how wringed out the engine was from the factory that N/A gains would be hard to come by. I was going to ask what the deal was with doing a single exit exhaust thing but figured it out later. Seeing the AEM EMS and Toda header post all I can say is DAMN thats some good results for N/A tuning and it appears ( as been said a thousand million times before ) that the real HP is in the tuning.

 

What's so bad about the mugen header?

I would love to see a dyno with this gain on the Amuse exhaust. I have never seen one and although it would be my first choice of exhausts I think everybody praises it because of quality and price. HKS is no throw away either. Its just as good as the Mugen or Spoon IMO. Having had both...
