But overall, in comparison to other RWD cars with even less power from the factory, s2k rear ends are fragile it seems . Otherwise, why would someone even think to swap a 240 rear end into a 2000?

yes u are correct, jsut because the overall power in another car is less that doesnt mean that the rear end is weaker.....
hell my father is running a oyota Mini Van rear end in his Sprinter/corolla... pulling 1.4 60 fts.....

they made the swap because they had plans to punish it passed the limits of the Stock unit
