they will fit. you might wana consider running a staggered tire size i think if u run 225/45/17 front and 245/40/17 rear u should be fine. but dont quote me on this im not 100% sure.

it's not going to look smaller on the rear cause of the 40 series. it will look beefier be cause of the 245 width.

^x2 tire wall hight depnds on the width of the tire so a 225/45 would be about the same hight as a 245/40 why do you think the stock sizes are like that honda wouldnt actually throw a lower tire on in the back. if you want the raked look the get a lower profile front but remeber that your wheel gap will look bigger cause the tire is thiner.

i always thought they made the rear shorter because of the lower rear fender, thanks for the quick responses, is the 48mm offset closer to the fender than stock, i still dont understand offsets.

i don't think it will be closer to the fender be cause your running an 8 inch rear. the front might be. not to sure. but the rear will be about the same.

okay back to the original post, will these rims look odd on the car, another words will the front stick out farther from the fender than the rear, because the 48mm offset would make it stick out 7mm more than oem since oem is 55
and the rear is 65mm so it would stick out 17mm more on the rear: am i right or wrong.

any pics of the front with 48mm offset.

it will look fine hopefully they will sit flush with ur fender and quater. the rears will stick out more the the fronts but not to the point where it will look ugly.

okay, ill most likely get them, i was either gonna get these for 400 w tires or ap2 v1 painted black for 400 wtires, used of course.

can you explain why the rears will still stick out more than the fronts even though they are still the same width and offset.

Because the rears need more offset than the front. The stock rear is +65, so a +48 is 17mm less than stock. This means the rear wheel lip will extend 17mm outward over the stock wheel.

Up front, the stock wheel is 55mm, and yours is 48. That's only 7mm less (outward).

This is 17x8+45 on all corners:

Yours will be very similar in stance (3mm inward)

The tires are 205/245 and are very flush. I would not run 225/245 unless I had a bigger front sway bar to balance out the car better.

Eibach springs on Ground Control sleeves, 380F/340R. Stock dampers

Honestly, those are so affordable that I wouldn't bother with drop springs alone. For about $350, you can get good spring rates and full control over your drop.

I'm fully rolled front and rear. I could go lower, but this ride height works well with my track wheels.

IMO 45 in rear on an 8" rim is about the limit of what looks goofy in the rear. Your 48 will look lightly better, but it will still be out more than stock, which can look akward on a stock ride height. The front should look good.

Theres places that make rotas specifically for s2ks which are the perfect offset, hubcentric, etc..

yeah i know i could buy them with the right offset but these are from a used private seller so i have to deal with what i have or pay 700 dollars more than what i can get these for. im gonna get them though and i'll post pics once i get them on the car.

You're getting a great deal. Just don't count on this being a hot track setup because of the lack of stagger in the wheel. It will look great, but it's not ideal for performance applications. It's going to be loose even with a 225/245 unless you up the front roll-stiffness (a bunch).

225 on all four is not a great setup. It's more tire up front than stock, and less in the rear (assuming you have an AP1). That's a recipe for oversteer: drive carefully.

my tire size right now ap1 is 225 in the rear so it will be the same in the rear but more than stock in the front, yeah im not really looking for performance gains, as long as it doesnt hinder compared to stock.

700 MORE? So are they free?

When I called like 2 months ago, these guys had a set made specifically for the s2k in gold, and in black.

650 shipped brand new

The OEM S02 is well known for being being significantly larger than the 225 rating suggests. In section and tread width, it compares more closely to other manufacturers 235 or 245mm tires. Many owners have put 225mm all around (in a different tire model than the S02) for convenience, even though the stock setup is closer to 205/245 outside of the S02.

This is a common mistake and contributes to S2000s well-earned reputation for being tail happy. More tire up front, less tire in the rear, in an already twitchy car.
