Default help???

i have a few questions...
ok my mom has a 2001 s2k that the check engine light keeps coming on. our local honda dealer just keeps clearing the codes, but she would like the problem solved rather than having to clear codes all the time...
the codes that honda says its showing are
p0410 and p1410
they are telling my mom that it is an air pump system failure and air pump motor failure. as far as i know ( and i am not an expert on s2ks ) they dont have air pumps... im not even sure if the code # matches the names they have given her.
i work at a shop, and have access to scan tools, just wonderin if anyone has any input on this..
thank you!!

secondary pump is located behind the front bumper on the drivers side.
remove the bumper and make sure the plugs are in correctly, check your vac lines as well as they run up just in front of the motor to the valve then to the motor. so insure all your vac lines are intact and plugged in.

I had this for abit, apparently a bird had gotten... we slaughtered by my car, and the pump wiring got chopped up by the carnage. Couple of butt connectors and all was well in the world.

Air pump is only useful for e-check. No worries.

check all the vac lines and make sure the solinoide is working. This code will not hinder the performence of the car nore is it hurting the car. The secondery air injection system is only for emissions purposes

Depending on were you live most states wont let the car pass inspection with a CEL. Sounds shady the dealer wont fix it or tell you how to fix it. Good luck dude.

I was thinking the same. Take it to a different Honda dealership.
