And like I said, if this is for SCCA autocross, you aren't even going to be travelling at a high enough rate of speed to make proper use of such a modification.

It would be different if you were racing on large tracks and at high speeds with other cars. Just because something is on a race car does not mean it's the end-all, be-all solution to make any car faster. Example, the Tyrell P34 F1 car of the mid 70's had 6-wheels. It even won a Grand Prix or two. So why don't you replace your one set of front wheels with two sets? After all, it's on a race car. Those Time Attack cars you constantly reference also have other aerodynamic modifications. Have you accounted for every one of those as well?

So please don't get all defensive because some people here gave you an opinion. And there's no need to talk down to someone just for disagreeing with you.

so how come thet use spoilers , front/rear diffusers , canards and widebody kits etc in time attack events? more downforce, better handling, more speed ,better times no?</TD></TR></TABLE>

Um... no again. More downforce = more drag = LESS speed.

check with your state's DMV laws, running these on the streets can get you a moving violation. At least in california, you can't have anything sharp protruding from the front and rear bumpers.

keep the flaming civil
