Default Front Bumper Protector

Anyone know of a reliable site to get a front bumper protector for an 06 s2000?
(A metal piece to go under the bumper to protect it from getting scratched)

Thank you.

do you have a link? i never heard or seen this before,

you could buy a piece of aluminum shape it to the bumper and bolt it up where the oem lip would go, you would need some spacers or a spring type of thing.

I don't think they have one for a lip.

I know couple of people who have something like that for their header.

they have it but it cost almost how much it is for an OEM front lip.

when you hit something in the parking exit, the metal will only push in and own you bumper. The metal will not absorb the force, it will just transfer it right to the plastic bumper <TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by SilverDc2 &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">do you have a link? i never heard or seen this before,

that is called a splitter, it doesn't have to be metal, they make abs(mugen), cf(bimmer) and wood(nissan gtr r34 specv), it has little to do with protecting the bumper, it's a downforce device for racing. thank to the hardparking folks, it's everywhere on the street now.

The little struct thingie is a damper.

downpipe plate is totoally different, the only way it works is because you can weld the dp to a metal. it will not do anuthing if you put it under your bumper

I know what a splitter is, and I'm not talking about a splitter, because a splitter usually cover the whole under body, for example the splash guards,

I'm saying just a thin 2-3 inch wide plate that surrounds beneath the bumper, obviously its not going to absorb the hit but it would help out a little if you live in rough roads to not scuff up the bumper.

not all spliter cover the whole under body, in matter of fact most of them do not, just a outline of the lower bumper and that's it.

i see your point but how well it will work is the main concern.

Nice and flat underbody (for the front, at least).

3M film works as well to protect the front bumper from rocks and chips. It is pricey though.

FR-MOB
Is that custom work? or did you buy it somewhere?
Thanks

And this is what I saw that intrested me.. I emailed the guy he said it would be about another 2-3 weeks for the 06 to come out, but that was about 2 weeks ago.
Is it secure? ... Good?
