Hi, I'm new to the S2000 scene, but I've been modifying a Prelude for the past 4 years. Just wondering what you guys/girls suggest as your first S2000 mod? I have been looking at exhausts, and I have taken a liking to the Invidia setup. Not too pricey (I'm not rich, unfortunately) , but it retains the dual muffler, and I'm not too worried about noise or emmisions testing up here in Canada. Also been looking at different Intake systems, and wondering what you feel the best bang for your buck is. I personally like the J's Racing system, but I would like to hear what you think?
Comments/Suggestions welcome!
Thanks,
Tyler

Yeah, I was actually thinking suspension and wheels/tires as well. That was my first mod with my Prelude, as I enjoy aggressive driving. I know some of you guys dont like Rota wheels from reading the other posts on here, but I was thinking about going with a set of Rota Circuit 10's (bronze), with a nice sticky tire. What would the best spring/strut combo be, not full adjustable coilover system, because I dont have that kinda coin.

i think that suspensionb mods are vital but only after you learn to drive the car to its full potential on the stock suspension. the suspension shouldnt just be changed out, it should be graduated to.
but yeah, take every oportunity to learn how to drive the car to its limits. if you can never reach them then you dont need anything more than stock suspension. if you can, then decide what MORE you want the car to do, and get suspension that will suit those needs.
if you are just realy anxious to mod it (which i can understand) i recommend that you get a different final drive gear. it will make the car faster and it is probably the chapest means of doing so.
but again, dont touch the suspension until you need to.

Invidia is nice, I'd go for that. The money you save on buying another brand of exhaust you could decat the car and get either a K&N replacement filter or a 2nd hand AEM. that should cost you about $700 to pull off if you take your time and hop on some good deals. Good luck
My first mod was clear side repeaters, then s2000 decal on the wind blocker, then removing the honda badge on the front 2 wings, loads of stuff you can do that doesnt cost much money. Even wire in the 2 extra speakers your headunit is missing, but that depends on the year of your car.
