Can some one in the know tell me the weight of a dressed S engine. Thanx!!!

 

They had an article in Grassroots Motorsports (about 2 years ago) about a guy who put an s2000 engine/tranny into his lightened Triumph Spitfire--whole car weighed 1450 lbs with the motor/tranny!! I think he quoted a motor/tranny weight of around 350 lbs.(?) I will have to find the mag. and double check though. The motor alone--I don't know...Jay

 

That weight includes exhaust and intake manifolds...
