engine rattling when cold
my engine starts rattling when cold after RPM drops to 1.5K. it goes away when its hot. but it happens every cold start up. Is it time for a new time chain or valve adjustment?

if anything have your buddy start it when it's cold you you can listen under the hood. hopefully then you can localize the sound a part of the car. I would check the exhaust stuff since something could be a little loose but when the car warms up that tightens everything and that could be why the noise goes away.
^^^ i think i have that issue - engine fast ticks for quite a while, then everytime it annoys me enough to have a look, it's gone! It was more noticeable when i added a more open header and test pipe
A classmate had this problem on his car when we were going to Wyotech. It wasn't an s2k but it was a Honda Engine. Every time he started his car you could hear a rattle noise and then it would go away after a few seconds. A few weeks later he blew up his engine. When he tore it apart he said it was his cam bearings that caused it(don't remember if it was cam or other bearings)... Not sure if this is your case.
