Default Engine Pull or Engine drop?

Hey whats up everybody. I new to the S2000 forum but not new to honda-tech. I have an S2000 in the shop with a spun rod bearing. We are getting a used F20C. The car is a 2000. I have done plenty motor pulls before and turn wrenches for a living. I do have access to ALL DATA. But for some reason the information on the engine removal is not listed. I havent yet been able to lift it and get a look from undernearth. From the looks of it it has to come out the bottom. It looks pretty tight to be disconnecting bell housing bolts on the top of the tranny. Any body have any advice?

I have work on many s2000 for years and to me is easier if you take the tranny out first and then pull the motor out the top (the motor and tranny togheter wont clear if you try to come out the top and if you drop it with the sbframe out the bottom to me seem s like a hell of a lot more work) If you're gonna take my advise just lower the subframe a little to be able to get to the top bolts and to make clear the transmission tunel.

Take the trans off first and pull it out. There are plenty of trans removal links online. You have to lower the sub frame to get to the bolts.

Either way is fine. We pulled mine out the top taking the tranny off first.
