Dropping or feathering the S2000 clutch......
That's right, it's me again. In the 1/4 mile, i've always promoted dropping the clutch from the floor, but my friend took a ride with me the other day and recommended i try letting it out a little slower(feathering) in order to get a better take off. So let me hear who does which and why? Include results(times) if possible. Thanks
**** no, you NEVER FEATHER THE CLUTCH on a launch. great way to fry it...trust me, i've smelled that smell and it ain't good. if you're gonna launch, you goota sidestep the clutch at 6500 rpms+ then feather the gas pedal until you hook up...then obviously you floor it.
you just said never feather the clutch then rev to 6,500+rpm then feather the clutch??? wah???
on drag..i drop the clutch
btw, 14.3@98mph, stock

cIvIc_gSr95: sidestepping is twisting your foot off the clutch and letting it pop back up.
