Default Difficult mods

I've installed a turbo kit, clutch and so on and so forth, but this intake manifold gasket has made a crybaby out of me. Five hours of pure bliss. I was wondering, which mods have prooved difficult for others ?

Nothing has ever been super hard, but really no matter what you install, you always run into those small, unexpected problems... (excuse my grammar)

I could probably do one in about 2 or 3 hours now that I'm familiar with things. I was curious if anyone else has installed the intake gasket and did you have to remove the alternater, tension pulley and about a dozen other things? Oh and I'd like to know where to buy that rocket launcher.

http://www.ebay.com

It requires a hard top to be installed. make sure to give them your color code so they can match it to your car

The gasket is no fun - done at least a dozen of them - just did 2 in 5 hours a few weeks ago. The key is to have the right tools - Craftsman 12mm swivel-socket in 1/4" drive. Some cars I've had to take the throttle-body off, some cars didn't. Never had to touch alternators, pulleys, etc.

So do you like the gasket?

Not on an S...but on my FX, the passenger side foglight is unaccesible without removing the front bumper, which requires several sensors to be removed and is a PITA...so i took 1.5 hours and took the smallest 10mm wrench i had, and slowly (im talking snail pace slow) i forced my arm up into the bumper (after removing the wheel well liner) and then slowly navigated the small wrench to the bolt on top of the fog light and with probobly 1mm of space to move left or right, i loosened the bolt...after about an hour and half i finally had it loose enough to get it off with my fingers...then it took me another 20min. to get a tap in the back of the foglight to pop the little reverse secure bolts to pop out (they are held in with small plastic tabs)...

Ive done engine swaps, brake jobs, clutch replacements, gas tank replacements...just any number of PITA jobs and this, by far...was my biggest headache, also left my arm cut to ****...its all good though, better than trying to take a bumper off that most people can never seem to get back on right in the FX world (since it has very strange mounting points.)

my PITA was trying to move the hump between the passenger and driver. I had to move the propeller shaft down. All this just to have easier sex in the car.
