The s2000 can only run AEM EMS or Hondata K-pro, with the Kpro you will have to switch over sensors and it comes with a base map and you will be able to pass smog testing. The AEM EMS doesnt come with a base map so your tuner will have to start with nothing but you just plug and play, also remember to get a GM 3 bar map senor. Jumping into F/I is a lot more money then people think so make sure your ready to spend.

Go with a Vortech, more overall potential.

It can also run an HKS F-Con, Apex-i Power FC, MoTeC ... ... ...

If you are just gonna stick with stock boost from the comptech, you would probably be okay with the voltage clamp and FMU supplied, as long as you get your AFR's checked. But with that said, it seems that the FMU is either hit or miss, mostly on the miss side. I was able to get mine adjusted well enough to drive around on for about 6 months until I got my AEM and RC 750 injectors. K-pro is more expensive than the AEM the last time I checked, plus you have to add about $3-400 worth of K20 sensors into the cost. But the K-pro would be your best solution if you have to worry about emissions as Kyle stated, as the AEM is not compliant with OBDII emissions.

After the cost of the supercharger setup up. I've probably spent about $3,000 on AEM EMS w/built in wideband, RC750 injectors, injector clips and tune. Overall I didn't make much more power than the voltage clamp and FMU by keeping same boost but I was able to lower VTEC to 4200 and get better power delivery in the midrange and a lot safer tune. I was seeing 13:1 AFR's at redline with the FMU. So it was pretty dangerous the way I was running my car, but I guess I was lucky enough to get by until I could get the EMS, injectors and tune. I'm really happy for now, but I'm mainly getting everything prepped for more boost next spring, as I've already taken the big steps, and all it's going to take now is a clutch, pulley and map sensor.

I've been chatting with a guy running 8.0 psi on his 2.0L with the Comptech kit using stock everything and a V-AFC! impressive. But, for him, he is pretty much maxing out the duty cycle of the injectors and looking to bump them up to 440cc.

you don't follow much high end type build stuff, do you? lol.

yes, they still make the F-con, they're up to like F-con Vpro or something like that.

Only problem is, the F-con is very restrictive in that only an HKS authorized shop can tune it.

Uhh yeah, one of the best units you can get ... as long as you find an authorized shop that can tune it for you properly.

If you pay more than $300 for the extra parts to run a Hondata, you're overpaying. The parts are S2000 (AP2) parts by the way, and about $130 of that goes towards an AP2 valve cover.

And running 750cc injectors on a supercharged setup is too much, unless you're going for the upper 400rwhp area (which isn't doable with a supercharger on this car.

Yeah I was going based off of what Hondata's site says.

I got 750's for room to grow without needing new injectors. I plan on running 12psi next spring, and also I would like the flexibility to run E85 (Because it's so cheap right now, it's pretty much the cheapest race gas you can buy, and they are putting in pumps like mad around where I live). To run E85 you need atleast 30% more injector than you would for gasoline. That is why I chose the 750's.

It is totally doable with a supercharger on this car. MANY people are running 400WHP SC setups. This is from the setup I am considering picking up right now. It's a 2mm HG not 3mm BTW. And yes it's on 750'ss... No good reason to buy something smaller with a good EMS, this leaves room for upgrades later.

400rwhp is doable, but not upper 400rwhp. There was a couple in NoVA running a little over 400rwhp with a Vortech setup.

Wait, for the hondata setup with the modified rsx ecu, the $300 kit that they sell is only ap2 parts???

On their website they list it even for 04-05 guys too.

The $300 that they claim are extra Honda parts that are needed to make the Kpro work. But you can get it for cheaper than $300.

Parts are:
37510-PZX-003 - Sensor Assy., TDC - $50
13622-PCX-013 - Plate, Crank Pulser - $7
14112-PCX-003 - Plate, TDC Pulse $12
94109-14000 - W-Washer, Drain (14mm) - 20cents
17130-PCX-003 - Valve Assy-, PCV - $13
37500-PZX-003 - Sensor Assy., Crank - $50
12310-PCX-020 - Valve Cover (This is an AP2 Valve Cover) - $150 (not needed if you have an AP2)

$132.20 (without valve cover if you have an AP2)

They are all S2000 sensors, but they are updated sensors. I'm not sure exactly when Honda swapped over to the new sensors. But I'm sure some AP2's (probably 05+ have the proper sensors). If you do a search on any of the part numbers listed above, they will all state S2000.

Upper 400 is definitely possible with a supercharger. It may not be as easy as doing it with a turbo, but it's been done.

How is 400whp not doable on a S2000? Are you talking stock block? Or not at all? There are several individuals on S2Ki, that have over 400whp on both Comptech and Vortech Kits.

SN on S2Ki of Supercharger setups over 400whp:

Casterdog 415whp 271 tq AP2 Vortech 12psi
abv 413whp 240 tq AP1 Comptech 14.5psi
evf2000 420whp 238 tq AP1 Vortech 16psi
Sideways 469whp 265 tq AP1 Vortech 13.8psi
stena 400whp 245 tq AP1 Comptech 14psi
Ztec 400whp 239 tq AP1 Comptech 11.2psi

The list goes on, but I think you get the idea. Again PapaSmurf, not trying to argue with you, but there are other people that have gotten over the 400whp range with a supercharger. I think we also argued the HKS F-Con before, but I'm not quite sure. Again, it can be argued just like Hondata vs. AEM EMS or F-Con vs. EMS ect. In my opinion, cost/feature I believe AEM beats both HKS and Hondata, but again, to each his own.

He said upper 400's... None of those are in the upper 400's. Sideways is close but something does not seem right about his #'s... Why are they so high? That does not seem accurate unless he is running another power adder like meth/water injection or nitrous. Do you know what trim wheel he has on his Vortech?

Sideways is the exception to the upper 400rwhp mark with a supercharger. And yes, I still don't really believe it. There hasn't been any actual proof (that doesn't require questioning) of this to my knowledge. The numbers have been very skeptical.

And if you read a couple of posts above, I clearly stated there were two 400+rwhp supercharged S' running in NoVa alone (one being a friend of mine). I'm not arguing that 400rwhp is not achievable; but upper 400, I will argue till I see concrete proof that no one can question the authenticity of it.
