coilover spring rates of s2ks
So i just joined the Honda-Tech crew, i have been here for bout a year now and finally decided i might get an account so i could pipe in ill have pics of the car up soon . I allready did searches on this topic and could not find the exact answer i was looking for so any replies
would help. i am in the midst of purchasing d2 coilovers for my s2k but i am in need of some help with choosing the spring rates for this set. Im not going to be tracking my car so im in no need to upgrade anyfurther with another type of coilover, but what i do want is a stiff ride probably the stiffest i can go performance wise with the coilovers. here are the spring rate options that i have (3.5, 5, 7, 9, 11, 13, 15, 18, and 22 kg/mm). so let me know what would be the best setup or what the set up works best you guys out there.

if your not going to track and you want it stiff than look into 10-14kg rates.
i wasnt aware that d2 had rates up to 22kg.
I plan to upgrade to 14kg all the way around when i get my new setup.

We put some D2's in a Mazda 6 and although they were whatever rate the stock application was, I was not impressed at all. The shocks don't seem to come even close to handling them. I am coming from a few cars with eibach/koni setups so maybe I'm spoiled. Haven't tried Tein but at this point I'm not going with D2 again.

d2 is a cheap setup, so i wouldnt expect much. their probably valved low.
i had teins, and now i have zeals. the difference is night and day. you really do get what you pay for with a suspension.
