Default Changing rear diff fluid?

How many of you have changed your rear diff fluid? if so what did you use and how much, i know honda does car s2000 rear diff fluid. also what are the recommended change intervals, 15k or 30k?

depending on how you drive it. I would change it no longer than 15k miles if the car was driven very lightly and every other oil change if the car was a daily driver. Mobil 1 synthetic gear oil is the best bang for the buck while the redline race fluid is just that, race stuff that should be replaced frequently.

90 wt, or a syn blend of 75/90

I'm too lazy to look in my service manual, but do you need a way to "pump" the fluid into the rear diff (and the transmission as well)?

My S is in dire need of fluid replacement, and I don't have access to a lift.

yep, a nice little hand pump makes the job easier.

i change my transmission and differential fluids once a year. it's cheap insurance, why not?


for the diff.: mobil 1 75w90(you only need one bottle, it will probaly only use 3/4 of it)

for the tranny: honda mtf, you only need 2 bottles(probably uses around 1.25-1.5)


just fill up until the fluid starts pouring out of the fill hole.
