ASM S2000 Build
Hey guys, anybody knows what was the cost to build the world's fastest NA S2000 by ASM. If so, what would cost me to have one built; an awesome super fast street s2000.
if you just want to buy every asm piece off the shelf and assemble the car you're probably going to spend at least $50k in parts
http://www.gotuning.com/index.php?manufacturers_id=12
for a majority of the parts they use in the car, and i believe bulletproof was selling their widebody kit alone for around $50k then you would need to get every other part
if you seriously want to send your car to japan, have them use all of their parts along with the cost of labor for all of the man hours to completely rehaul a stock s2000, then have it shipped back to the states... you would probably save money buying an ariel atom and pocketing the rest
for asm to engineer, test, etc all of the parts they have on the car, along with probably thousands of hours of tuning the car... who knows how much it cost them to get the car to where it is now

oh ok, thatz alot, im not really interested in the body kit & stuff like that, i just want the hp (i think was 305 whp) & the torque (i think was 300 ft lbs)... i would love to use some of the parts if possible, but i would wanna spend about $20k... do you think i would be close to get the power & torque that im looking for, thanks.

1. buy it

2. build your motor naturally aspirated (look on s2ki in their N/A subforum)
3. forced induction (supercharged/turbo/etc) again look on s2ki in their forced induction subforum
holy is spelled with 1 L... pot, meet kettle
So you have a fully built JDM Integra Type R

Then ask these types of questions and don't bother with formatting, capitalization, etc. Excuse me when I don't believe a single word from your mouth. I'm not sure if you're trying to impress people or are a day-dreaming middle schooler but you should probably reconsider just randomly posting this crap. If you have legitimate questions then feel free to post them.

To be totally honest...you would need much more than 50k....the brake kit alone is probably 10k...suspension is probably another 10k...and the engine...forget about it. Another thing to mention is...the car you are referring to, Fastest NA vehicle around Tsukuba Circuit, is in no way a street car (in reference to "an awesome super fast street s2000")...it is a full on race car. Further more I am not sure that the kit that is being sold to the public is the actual ASM kit used on the car. I wouldn't be surprised if all the panels are carbon fiber....if thats the case, your looking at way over 100k for this car. Keep in mind there are levels of ASM vehicles...the record breaking version...unless your a millionaire is out of the average persons league.
Ninja Edit: The front diffuser...just a simple underbody diffuser...is 6k. Food for thought.

No problem man....with 20k though, you could have a seriously nice car that would be super quick...its not going to be lightning fast in a straight line if you don't go forced induction though. The stock block has been known to handle 400+hp. From what I have read the weak link when you get up in those power levels is the differential.
With that said I am a purist...so I believe in keeping the car as an NA vehicle because thats how Honda designed it. 250-260hp to the rear wheels in that car is plenty fun.
There is a company that is working on putting the variable intake and exhaust on that motor which is said to unlock a lot more potential for power...maybe take a look into it....last I read it was going to become available to the public.
Read this link for some info: http://www.importtuner.com/tech/impp...g/viewall.html
This is on a forced induction car however im sure NA vehicles would benefit too.
Good luck
