Whats the difference between an AP1 and an AP2 steering wheel??? Is 00-03 considered AP1 and 04-Present considered AP2?

AP1 wheel has a circular H badge on it, and AP2 has a square, black one with a H on it.

At least I think that's it.

 

Ahhhh I see... would you have any pics of each?
Also, I think, AP1 is equiped with single stage airbag while AP2 has dual stage airbag. Am I right or wrong?

Haha... I dont have a s2000. I dont know much abt them. I have a Prelude. I just bought a 2003 s2000 steering wheel (AP1) and I wasnt 100% sure if it will fit in my Prelude. But, after looking at your pics and doing other research and joining all the dots together, I know I have an AP1 and it will fit. Thanks again!

If you go to google/yahoo and search s2000 steering wheel theres actually 2 pics I saw come up with them installed in Preludes. Its funny cause I was actually going to post those pics but thought 'Oh, but its in a Prelude I dont think its going to be useful to him' lol.

 

There is this whole talk on some forums about how AP2s dont fit preludes, while AP1s do. I had no idea what an AP1 was and what an AP2 was and what they looked like and which one I had bought. Hence, I asked the question... whats the difference between the two.
But its all clear now.

 

Are the wheel diameters all the same for an ap1 and ap2 or are they diffrent?
