Why does everyone Tom, Dick, and Harry make the assumption that the only people who use nitrous want to go Fast and Furious style.

I actually just purchased a Nitrous Express Stage 1 EFI system for the simple fact that

a) don't feel like ripping apart my diff for gears

and

b) I don't need speed ALL the time

Plenty of folks have used nitrous in the S2000 and successfully I may add.

if you get a nitrous system for the S.. get a direct port system... and make sure you do it right the first time around.. otherwise you can kiss your motor goodbye....if you want a proper nitrous system you're going to be spending in and around 1000-1200 bucks....

by the way.. it's not nos.. it's nitrous... NOS is a name of a company that creates nitrous kits...

Why a direct port? I would think that a wet system, albiet a smaller shot, would be much safer?

cause direct port is the way to go... more power, more efficient, more acurate..done properly it would be better then a spray that shoots into your intake...

but if you only want like a 50shot or something... no need for direct port..

***keep in mind this is my opinion on things***

You've been known to provide good advice, so your opinion is helpful I was just wondering since I am going to be installing an NX wet kit this weekend and was only going to run a 50-shot. Obviously I will be utilizing a window switch, fuel pressure cutoff, etc.

Thanks for the help and let me know if I'm going about this all wrong

make sure you get colder plugs...(very important)

you might want to get a purge kit also.... it'll get rid of the air thats in the lines before you spray... ... so it'll be more acurate from the get go...(but this is optional)

Nitrous on anything when tuned properly with the correct timing and fuel can be great.

Don't knock it till' you rock it.

Do you know what plugs I need to run? I assumed I'd need colder ones, but I didn't know the exact type. Also, do they need to be "gapped" more than stock?

In response to the why direct port question, it wasnt as properly answered as I would have preferred. Direct port ensures that each cylinder receives an identical amount of nitrous. What youll find is that when injected into the intake, the first cylinder takes the majority of the load, its spread less evenly throughout the cyliders, and you usually find that when there is a blow motor due to nitrous, its in that cylinder closest to the throttle body. Therefore, with direct port into each cylinder individually, you guarantee an efficient setup, that will provide each cylinder with appropriate amounts of nitrous, which will in turn prove to be a much safer, and reliable setup.
