aem ems users
How do you have your EMS mounted. The stupid velcro never worked, I had 2 pieces of duct tape but thats duct tape and its falling down and when it does my car shuts off! I need a better way to mount this...
I gaff taped a small towel around it to keep it from rattling against the metal and just put it where the stock ECU was. it's been fine so far, it doesn't move around and doesn't rattle against the car. if that's not good enough for what you want to do just go get some metal strapping, shouldn't be too hard to secure it that way.
the AEM EMS is a great product but they dropped the ball in a couple areas. for the money you pay it should come with a better base map like what Hondata provides. that would eliminate all the whiners about it not cold starting until it's tuned. AEM should also include some kinda mounting brackets for each ECU setup. their forums used to be great, AEM staff would actually help people out on there. now the forums are dead, very few people will post and help and I never see any staff on there except to post new software releases. the last time I had to call AEM about an issue with the MAP sensor the douche bag I was talking to was just a condescending ******** and ending up being no help whatsoever and dead wrong, finally fixed it on my own. now I have heard that they're good if there's a problem with the ECU itself, but I haven't had that issue. in the end, great product, but you're on your own with troubleshooting and tuning related stuff.

I was looking into the Hondata kpro but it requires replacement of a few parts that I'm not too sure I want to deal with. But then again I do hear people who have it and are really happy with it.
A lot of people are going to say that hondata I easier of course because them the (end user) understands hondata because its pretty much idiot proof. Unlike aem is a full standalone with a lot more features and options than hondata because its based on the stock ecu.
I just did the aem ems towel mod... I jammed the towel in the corner by the dead pedal and put one piece of duct tape over the ems to help hold it in place and put the penal back on. This should work till I get the harness..
