Default Advice...

Hey all!

I'm on S2Ki.com... came across this site while researching hoods and front bumpers...

So, the other night, i got into an accident. I'm going to need to get a new hood and front bumper..

I was wondering.. should I upgrade and get a carbon fiber hood (since I need to buy a new one plus paint it..) would it be about the same amount of $$?

also, i need a new front bumper.. I've tried looking online for some aftermarket ones, but i've had trouble imagining some of them on my car.. (their pictures are horrible... or they are shown with aftermarket lip kits and such..) so i wouldn't know what they would look like alone.

i'd appreciate any advice on this... i need to decide soon! i can't be without a car due to work.. so i have to hurry!!!

Thanks in advance!!!

Some stupid guy cut in front of me then slammed on his brakes to turn into an adult video store.. if the guy wouldn't have had a fu.cking trailer hitch, things wouldn't have been so bad. i wasn't going over 30 mph. ugh, enough ranting... :banghead: :banghead:

here are the pics.

Every insurance company is different but generally an appraiser looks at your car and calcluates what it will cost to replace everything with stock parts. The price is dealership cost. If it is dealership cost then it should be pretty equal to any good quality after market parts you want. Another option would be, after getting the check, buy everything used, but stock and put some cash in your pocket.

a CF hood is not a upgrade... only thing u can get from it is if its vented to drop under hood temps... other wise u are just adding weight... compared to most CF hoods

IMO i would just look for a used hood and bumper if your in a hurry and in any color. Most shops should paint both for you for about $500-$600. This would be your quickest bet.

Your cost in the end should be about $1000 total.

Good luck!
