2000 model vs. 2004 model
for those of you who have driven both, are there any huge differences in these 2 models (apart from the body, wider rear tyre, 2.2l engine, and the redline)? as far as driving, ABS, is there some kind of limited slip control device? alarms? anything really would be appriciated
many thanks

yea alright alright, chillax will u? i guess the whole point of being a newb is to take your critisism. I'm sure most, if not all 'newbs' that join this forum ask a question that has already been covered.
but you know what nishant? if you have NOTHING CONSTRUCTIVE TO SAY, JUST DONT SAY IT, you should know the 'RULES'. and plus, when you start to reply a thread with that kinda negative crap, it puts everyone else who MIGHT have answered my question. you S2000 owners are supposed to help eachother, where is the 'circle of trust'?
nice one, gramps
alex
p.s. for your info, i've looked on the S2000 forum and found maybe 1 thread that was related to 2000's vs 2004's, but the guy listed like 2 things... gosh so stubborn and lazy

you realize i was talking to y2k_s2k. i said nothing to you. you need to really pay attention. just out of curiosity, what did you use to search? i bet if i go searching, i can find a few threads. HT search isn't the hardest but not the easiest either. as far as me knowing the rules, as you will post more you will see me post read the rules alot. then expect the thread to be locked. i am one of the few that actually knows the rules. calling me gramps is not appreciated at all. i may be younger than you and chances are that i am.
the reason i even said this is cause your question has literally shown up as a new post 2-3 times a week for the past 4-5 weeks. now you tell me, as a frequent poster on this forum, what would you expect me to say. many of the posts the same as yours have been locked by mods for one simple reason, it has been covered many many many times. now go search and if you still can't find anything, let me know

So you searched this site and didnt find anything about the differences between the AP1 and AP2?
lol...ya know, while we're here bullshitting, Micheal Jackson didnt touch any little boys either.
Heres one for you to ponder on while you get mad and try to come back with some wity noob remark to me...what are they like compared to each other? Very similar to comparing $1,000,000 in $100 dollar bills and $1,000,000 in $1,000 dollar bills, slight differences, but in the end, the same awesome car.
Now go use the search feature...please?

Nishant, i know for a fact you're not younger than me mr 21 year old. Also this forum hasn't gotten locked yet, because here i am, a new user seeking help, what kind of forum would it be if it were to LOCK SHUT any new comer asking a question that might have been repeated. btw, i will look for the diff between AP1 and AP2...
Hypnosisracing (did i spell it right this time ?
) I will use the search button more often from now on, can you blame me that i like a little interactivity on this forum? I know all you 'honda tech geeks' love to scarbble away on this forum, but instead of wasting time on stupid questions like (DUDE, MY 80 YEAR OLD MUM BOUGHT AN 02 2KS!!!!! SHE'S LETTING ME CHANGE THE RIMS AND EVERYTHING - - - A W E S O M E !!! WHAT DO U GUYS THINK???) that doesn't seem appropriate, there's a reason a car comes with certain stock features...
anyway
good to know i got ONE answer, i'll try to correlate $100's and $1000's
cheers

I have an '02. I had an '01. I've test driven a broken-in '05.
Visually, comparing stock car to stock car, I like the '05 better. Honda did a great job freshening things up.
Now OEM aerokit to OEM aerokit, I like the cleaner looks of the '02. Just watch one rolling down the street. The front end of the '02 has a better, lower, almost Carrera GT type look to it whereas the OEM '05 front spoiler breaks things up a bit too much.
Drive-wise, I like the F20C better. The F22C does have the added kick down low, but never do you forget that it's still a small 4-banger. I see a bigger loss in the area of being able to wind it out and enjoy the revs. At 8K shifts, VTEC feels short lived and it feels like you're short shifting. With the F20C, it feels like you can live in VTEC which is a good thing.

Couldn't have said it better myself. An S is an S. It's art either way. Personally I also prefer the AP1's styling better. Cleaner, more basic look, aero-wise and lighting-wise, however, I don't dislike the AP2. Mechanically the AP2 is probably more sound, seeing as how Honda has had time to make improvements, year-by-year. More torque for the AP2, but more revs with the AP1.
