depends on what you are looking to do? Exhausts sound nice but do nothing for horsepower.... intake will get you a few horsepower...
Decent wheels & tires and coilovers will cost you $3000++.
Or just go spend $200 on a track day and enjoy.

first thing i did was track the car, had so much fun and i learned how to control my car alot better. Coming from FWD, i wasn't sure when my rear would come out and now i can feel that point. Track your car, you will not regret it one bit

I agreed with this. Drive the car, learn it and how to drive the first year you own it. THEN decide what you need/want to improve on that fits your driving style.

I agree
. The S2000 without a lip and stock height is very unattractive to me. With a MSRP over $30k, Honda should sell the car standard with the lip.

I think you guys are all crazy that think the stock ride height it unattractive. That's just my opinion, but, it seems silly to buy some coilovers or springs just because you don't like the stock height. the 17" wheels feel my wheel wells nicely on my 04, and I wouldn't want to change suspension components right away for fear or actually lessening the handling ability.
But, you know what they say..different strokes for different folks.

Thats often true that you will decrease the handling capabilities with a set of coilovers. With so many different height/dampening combinations, there are so many ways you could make the car handle worse or better. If you don't know how to tune your suspension, just take the car to an alignment/corner-balance shop and tell them how you want the car to behave and what you will be doing most with the car.

Indeed. Good thoughts here. But most people can justify a product of $1500 coilovers, but not a 3-400 service for corner balancing/aligning the car and setting it up properly. But then again, most people that just slam the car think it handles much better because of the lower center of gravity when in fact, it can be far worse than what you started off with if not correctly set up.
If you want to change something and go with coilovers for a drop, fine. If you want coilovers to help the car perform a certain way - get the car first, and figure out why you need to change by looking at the what questions: what is it doing? what is it not doing, etc. I'm quite sure it will be a while before you can ask yourself those questions.
But if you want a great setup out of the box, stay stock, or go with the Elda guys or even Messley and have them set it up. I know Messley sets up coilover systems for $5K, which is track tested triple adjustable/remote reservoirs. But of course, you need to know why first.

very tru indeed...i actually bought a set of used Tein RA's...had them balanced and everything with a nice aggressive Euro spec alignment and it was bad ***...but IMO a set of Tein RA which is more track than street was not fun for me due to I drive in NYC on the weekends
that sir was not fun especially when i first had settings on max stiffness..my damn teeth were gonna break...not to mention my girl was pissed at the bumpy *** ride and i had to slow down on every bump...city driving = hell no...nice paved streets = hell yes!!...
i am now looking at a set of koni/GC setup or bilstein PSS9 coilovers...both had much better spring rates than stock and when done right well handle nicely and should b better than stock..
