o6 s2000 30,000 miles getting code p2183(p2183 colant temp sensor 2 ckt range/perf.. where is it?), comes up on my scaner 1 0f 2 and 2 of 2.. had code p0111 changed the air filter went away.. what should i do fix the p2183 code thanks for any help!!

 

Either coolant temp sensors are out of range, if your scan tool is capable of reading coolant temp make sure they are both in range.
With the engine cold make sure ect 2 is ambiant temp. Start and let it idle for about 5-10min ect 2 should be about 129 degrees. If it is less then its probibly bad.
Ect 2 is at the bottom of the radiator by the lower hose. That's the most likely cause of your code. Check the wiring for corrosion also.

cleaned conection, made sure wire wasnt loose... reset code came back few days later.. have no way test it guess buy new one. looks like i need drain fluid to put in.

 

should i get a oem one or advanced auto one be fine?

thanks man... guess get sensor this week lol been broke. damn gas prices.. and bills hitting me all at once... gonna stop by dealer for coolant, my cousin telling me some additives in coolant can cuase water pump to corrode or some ****... says honda coolant is made for are cars...
