*Another S2000 engine powered ae86 corolla thread*
Sweet swap
you placed the motor perfectly, you didn't have to cut much. I already know the pains of putting a swap in a AE86.
You should get this moved into the Hybrid forum.

more work:
alright. havent worked on it ina little bit but got lots done this weekend.
most noticeable is the engine mounts. to keep from cutting the tranny tunnel i made subframe spacers to lower the subframe. also are pictures of the alluminum mockup mounts i always make before making the steel ones. the final mounts are 1/8 inch stainless. holy expletive this crap is hard to work with, **** wont drill or cut without hardening and ******* your bits and blades up. but whatever.....the motor is mounted in the car. and the engine also sits further back if you compare it to the previous pics. i reused the factory mounts so i wouldnt have to cut up the crossmember too much in case a 300 hp 4ag wants a new home. also notice the 4 or so inches of ground clearence and how the subframe sits alittle lower than the pan in case of 50/50 grinds on k rails. well, go ahead and comment your asses off, im tired.

i lied, i did more work...tranny mount is done, it uses the stock s2000 rubber mounts lol

WOW! Nice fabrication of the tranny mount. I was thinking about suggesting possibly reenforcing the metal brackets for the motor mounts a bit until I saw that you already have an engine damper (I've seen a RB25 240sx with the same mount design and the metal bent. The mounts were remade and an engine damper was fabricated to fit and they haven't bent since.) Anyways, keep up the good work.

Nice Nice work man!!! my buddy paz pointed me to your car the other day and you are making super quick progress.
My F20 conversion is a little delayed with waiting for a RHD compatible exhaust to be made.
Keep up the good work man.
