Default Windsheild replacement

anyone ever change windsheilds? i gotta replace mine but have never done it. do i just remove the outside gasket then it pops out from inside? and when i put the new one in, what kinda of sealant should i put in the slot?

I would not do this yourself!
I worked in the auto upholstery and glass for a few years outta San Rafael Cali!
Did custom stuff.
You have to cut the glass out! then you need to scrap out the remaining seal, then prim the surface. You cant re use the old molding. And you can't use just GLUE!
It's special Black sealant that comes in a tub, and the tubs need to be preheated in a special warming device.
If you do it your self I can asure you that it will leak!
make a 75% chance of it leaking!
No make it 110% chance! LOLOL
Just my .02.
And you always run a risk of scratching that paint, when your cutting it out!
I have done it
Or worse. Your own body parts!

Your insurance won't take care of it, so you can have it done by a pro?
You def. want to make sure it's done and sealed right.

liability only insurace, but it was preexisting anyways. is it really that hard to do?
