First off do you have an auto or manual transmission on your prelude and secondly any ecu you put in there will have to be taken to the dealership to have the immobilizer re flashed to your key so that your car will start. At this point in time if you do not have to pass smog or anything of that nature just buy a chipped obd1 ecu with h22 basemap on it as well as an obd2a-obd1 jumper harness and call it a day.

Yes I know what those ecu codes are and which cars that they go to. I'm saying to you the jdm edu is better due to the fact there is no immobilizer to bypass so you don't have to waste your time or money at the dealership having them reflash your key for the new ecu. I really dont know if the sh ecu will work for the base prelude.

The car is boosted and it won't run smooth with a jdm ecu on a usdm motor (h22a4) it will smoke a lot n run super rich I've done it before it just doesn't run right......I just need some info on the compatability of sh to base models besides the ATTS that comes with the sh model

If the car is boosted why are you not running a chipped obd1 ecu setup for tuning and or some other sort of E-management setup?

It allready comes with a greedy tunning computer that does it n it has msd coil n computer....reason I want regular ecu is cause it's a daily driver it's got AC and I wanna keep it street not drag I feel doing all the tuning is to much for a car that's daily driven....I am in San Antonio on Tuesday a hail storm from he'll hit n damaged my roof n trunk I found a trunk for forty dollars allready (he'll of a deal) on the way home water got into my passenger side n wet everything were my ecu n msd computer is so i took the msd computer off n connected straight to the msd coil n still no rev beyond 3000 my tunning computer is not wet cause its way to high for water to get in it but my ecu had water corrosion on the sides so i know is bad and i connected the computer to check my codes and everything it pointed was ecm after some research the ecm is inside the ecu so i need a nsw ecu n I found the only ecu that's not automatic or jdm but it's of an usdm sh model I allready have a p13 jdm ecu but I used it before n like I told you it ran too rich n hella smoke came out the exhaust n it's not recommended to use jdm ecu on usdm motor.....I really need to just know the compatability between this two I need my car asap n I don't wanna drive 3 hours to get an ecu that won't work with my car know I mean

From what I remember, when guys have swapped out the SH tranny and ATTS for a base tranny, their cars still ran properly on the SH ecu, so it "should" work right for you as well. The ATTS has it's own ecu that would have issues, but a base model car will not have that, the wiring, the sensors etc.

Right. The "brains" of the ATTS in the SH are in another unit. The engines are the same, and should not have any different tuning. Plugs in, runs fine. That immobilizer is the problem.

I had an SH with a base model trans (bad stock motor got an h23 swap, doesn't work with ATTS) and it ran perfectly fine.
