wierd key problem?
Alright since im up this late sitting here reading sum new threads i thought ide see if you guys could anwser a question that has been bothering me for sometime now, once in awhile while attempting to start my car, as i turn the key to start the car doesn't start and the green key light flashes, i may have to turn the key off and try to start the car 5-6 times before it actually starts, but everytime it doesn't the key light flashes instead of going out, it is an orig. Honda key and i have had the ingniton recall done so im kinda at a loss here, it did it when i was running hon-data with my turbo setup and now does it with my jdm h22 on a stock odbI with odb2 conversion harness chiped jdm ecu, so im for once really at a loss anyone wanna add some good advice?
ps. i only have one key and it is an orig. honda key but is the only key i received with the car.

It could be your factory transponder. When that key light flashes it usually means that the ecu did not pick up the key's code. What year is your car? I know some, if not all, last gen preludes had coded keys. Might want to get that looked at because some cars for example pontiac's, will go into a lock out mode if too many attempts are made to start the car with a key that's not sending a good code. I installed remote starts and and alarms for 7 years and have seen co-workers get into these situations cause they didn't read directions and tried remote starting the car before properly learning the ignition key.
