is there anything i should do in the engine bay while the engine is out,besides cleaning it

 

depends on what you want to do.

I would strip the bay clean, paint it, and wire tuck it.

Buy new mounts, not inserts but mounts, explicit speed performance makes great ones at a good price. If you're one of the many that have a non functioning ABS system you could also remove that, it's a lot harder with the engine in. If you're asking for a write up on a wire tuck then you probably shouldn't try it.
