Im looking at buying a prelude under 13.5k i went to cars.com and I see those, plus one that says VTEC but im guessing one of the aboves has vtec with it?...

honda prelude vtec's have an h22...they were made from 1993 (or 94, i'm not sure) to 96...idk what engine the s's have (single cam??), and the 92-96 si's have an h23...i didnt think the si's had vtec, tho

the above thread is only for 4th gen preludes (92-96)
As for the 5th gen (97-01), they all have h22a4 (open deck) motors, with the SH, you get atts - which is a computer controlled differential that redistributes power between the drive wheels in cornering, as well as a slightly revised suspension. SH is not as good for boosting because the atts does not respond well to too much hp.
