i just payed for school so i cant get my h22 swap anytime soon so i wa thinking of at least putting some kind of exhaust on my lude. Should i just get a straight through muffler and keep the stock piping, because i dont want to lose low end torque, or should i put some 2.5 piping form the cat back to the muffler and get a straight through design?? would i get any power from either or should i just start looking into something else for power on the h23? Plese help, i gotta go im in school right now peace and thanks in advance

 

For a N/A H23 I would go with a 2.25" cat back with an aftermarket muffler (apexi N1, Tanabe race spec, etc.) if you are gettin the piping made (that's what it sounds like to me from your post)... or else buy a full catback... but that's a lot more expensive. Anything over 2.25" is overkill and will hurt your performance unless you are boosted.

 

Wait and buy a real exhaust used. Guys that do this custom thing usually end up spending way more than they should have and could've bought a good one for close to the same price. Also, your 'custom' setup will probably sound like azz.

I think hes refering to the whole "pissed off bumble bee ricer theory"... Thats my best guess... But, that also leads me to believe he has one messed up *** if it sounds like that...
