Some of it depends on how comfortable you wanna be while driving lol.

You can start off with:
spare tire
jack
rear seats
trunk carpet lining
floor mats
cf hood (lose a good 14 lbs or so)
cf trunk

and then for the uncomfortable stuff...

ac
power steering
abs
passenger seat
misc carpet lining

there's more as I'm sure other H-T members will show you

Cruise control is easy to remove, but why remove ABS? Eh, I still have ABS on my Prelude track car. Weight is 2,475 lbs without me in it, 1/4 tank of gas. It's a track car, though, so it's completely gutted, but has a full cage. This was with an OEM hood. It now has a gutted CF hood which saved a bit of weight. I need to do some work in the offseason to remove a few more lbs.

Im at 2683 with me in car and a 49/51 crossweight, abs, sunroof and heat remain!

Thanks. Those weights aren't corner balanced. I just put the car on the scales to see what it weighed. It actually is setup a bit differently now. I have a CF/fiberglass hood (gutted), and I now run 17x8.5 RPF1s.

I need to get a litte more weight out of the car, though. I've thought about cutting out the door bars since I use NASCAR bars on the drivers side, lightening the bumper supports, and some other misc. things like that.

If its a street car I wouldnt do much ... safety becomes an issue

But if its a track car some things could be

Bumper supports
heater core
interior pieces that arent being used
seats
sound deadoning

lightweight rims also help imo...went from stock alloys to 12 lbs 3 pieces rims and noticed a difference...prolly just because the motor is turning less weight

I would not remove the bumper supports. That's a really bad idea on a street car or track car. My bumper supports saved the front end of my car when I rear ended a fellow racer at TWS this past year. Without the bumper supports, my front end would have been toast.

How did you do it? Do you know how much weight you saved? Also, did it make the doors floppy at all?

I certainly wouldn't do this in a street car, but I have NASCAR door bars on the driver's side and an X-brace on the passenger's side of the cage.

A friend of mine and I bought them together. We got a pretty good deal. IIRC, they were around $1k new, but we bought them second hand for under $600.

cutting torch or a plasma cutter will work... it was close to 50lbs of BS...its crazy how heavy they are. The doors dont flop around really.. not as strong as factory but still ok. you also haft to drill out a few things on the door.. it just takes time.

Cutting torch or plasma cutter? I was hoping to not have to repaint the door after removing the bars.

Can't you drill through your bumper brace? Since it's a track car?

Sound deadening material isn't much but dry ice and a hammer make it an easy choice, removing excess wiring also helps. heater core/blower and anything that isn't used.

Also adding a fuel cell and removing the spare trunk well helps.
