Default valvetrain swapping

I want to be able to rev 8000, I know my current valvetrain would not be able to handle it. Does anyone know if a parts of a valve train on a honda engine that can handle 8k and be swapable with little modification to the ports spring grooves and jsut clearance issues. I am having a difficult time fiond this information. Checking the Searched section helped very little.
engine is f22a
92 prelude
manual

An H22a head can handle 8K.

I cant say i know of a donor engine for better valvetrain on your f22, if for whatever reason your looking for 8k the only thing i an tell you is to go aftermarket on the valvetrain. I am assuming the bottom end internals are stock, i dont think i would push that bottom end without at least a good balance.

H22 head can handle the rev, but a F22 bottem end would poop pistons and rods thru your oil pan if you try to rev it that high.. short story goes like this.. get a h22 swap a stock h22 can rev to 8k but it stops making power after 7600 or so..

I do not want to swap, but i take it 8k it too much. I can settle with 7k. My f22a revs to 6300 before it gags. I know from dyno testing it that most of my power is around the 4k to 4800 range. I am doing a moderate PNP on the head to help flow out a bit and have put a h23 IM on and port matched it to help even more. The main thing is keeping things in the honda family (I. E. budget). I would love to drop money on a name brand valvetrain, but the only people who make it (that I know of) want my soul and my first born to get it. (exspensive)
Anyone know what SOHC vtec engine could be a good donor. I figure if i get a vtec head (valves, retainers, springs) not the whole head. It would help me out a bit. Plus companies make more aftermarket parts for the "vtec crowd" then the "f22a economy wagon"

Your bottom end needs some work if you want to take it that high not just work on your head.. I would think a balance crankshaft/micropolish it would help but the F22 is not a very high revving motor so your kinda stuck. Why do you want to rev that high anyway?? if you have dreams of your f22 sounding like a f1 racing car, dream on that motor was ment to turbo not out-rev the competition for power.

After a little research I found the safest i could rev for a stock f22a bottom end is 7k. I do plan this to be a turbo project. Does anyone know what valve train componets from another high rev engine h22 etc. to help with valve float and other issues. I can overbore the ports for the valves to fit no problem. I am just curious about valve lenght, needing new valve stems, retainers, and springs.

if you don't want vtec put an h23 head on there. Will be cheap and flow better anyways, plus the tunability of DOHC. But you're still not going to need to rev to 7k.
