Default Unknown problem need help 5th gen

I have a 2001 prelude base, it has 105k miles on it. When I fill the gas tank up to full it has trouble starting only when the gas tank is full. Also, anything that I turn on in the car (lights, A/C, heat, etc) makes the car bog out. The lights don't dim out or anything, just makes the engine bog. I'm going to try to get a code tomorrow.

I'm thinking the same, but the battery light should be coming on if it's a alternator or battery problem. The check engine light has been red for a while now. Any thoughts would be grand

The Check Engine Light (CEL) never changes colors. It's only yellow. The light you mention is the Maintenance Required Light and it doesn't mean a thing. It's on a timer based on mileage. Just jab your key into the vag in the cluster.

I'm being told it could be a fuel pump by my friends, but I feel like it's an electrical. I did an alternator test a few weeks ago and it was at 13v. But, if it was going out the lights would dim and **** like that right? My voltage meter will drop to 12volts when I turn A/C on what not. And this no start problem only happens once and a while after I get gas. I have to put the car in R or 1st to get it to stay going.

k CHECK. get a battery. try that.... im almost sure ur battery is finished. i could be wrong but it sounds like its not holding charge.... but the gas thing....... MAYBE IT COULD BE the fuel filter? get dirty bro if u got the space park the car and pull up the rear bench and trunk carpet and get cracking rad up on the specs for current draw on the sending unit. see it its taking too much maybe thats what kills the car.
